Every Sunday, or every other Sunday, I will share with you three things I’ve liked and think you might like too. Here are this weeks things:
- Lutsenko Dolls – beautifully creepy dolls, handmade by a couple of Russian artists Anastasiya and Sergey Lutsenko. Wish I was as pretty. Just have a look. But don’t be a perv.
- In the face of rapidly growing numbers of acid attacks in the UK I remembered an article I once saw my friend recommend. In “What I learned from getting shot” the author describes how his life changed after the incident, addressing issues of self-development and social problems in the US. It is especially important as it explores the process of recovery, both physical and mental, that we won’t see in an action film or a book.
- This short piece by Billy Collins on finding your voice – […] it makes you feel that your voice is tied up with your authenticity, that your voice lies deep within you, at some root bottom of your soul, and that to find your voice you need to fall into deep introspection… you have to gaze deeply into yourself. The frustration and the anxiety is that maybe you won’t find anything there. That you’re on this terrible quest to nowhere.
That’s all for this week. If you liked these little guys, subscribe and you’ll get the next one delivered to your inbox.
