Every Sunday, or every other Sunday, or after two weeks of absence I will share with you three things I’ve liked and think you might like too. Here are the things I liked in the last weeks in Israel:
- Cofix – if you’re poor like me or simply looking for a quick snack on the way to the beach/synagogue/hummus place Cofix is your friend. Coffee, cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches, ready meals – all for only 6 shekels (less than 1,5 euro). One of my first and strongest recommendation before going to Israel was to get their iced coffee. It is mainly a coffee flavoured sugar slushie but hey, helps with the heat and it’s pretty much a meal in itself.
- Skyroam – this little guy was lent to me and I couldn’t appreciate this gesture more. Skyroam is an easy-to-use roaming hotspot for everyone on the go. It had great coverage everywhere I went in Israel and the battery is super long lasting. I will probably write more about it another day, but for now I want you to know it saved my ass more than a couple of times.
- Couchsurfing – and old favourite rediscovered on the occasion of this trip. I received many hosting offers and many hang out offers. I stayed with a girl who didn’t want to let me go, was driven around on a vespa into the sunset, explored Carmel Market and was mildly sexually harassed. Maybe a different culture, maybe an asshole, maybe I’ll write about it another day. Still, I am happy and grateful someone came up with this idea as it does indeed help people connect. Not doing as good a job as Abraham Hostels but I’ll give it a 3,5/5. Abraham gets 6+!
That’s all for this week. If you liked these little guys, subscribe and you’ll get the next one delivered to your inbox.
